Already 3-0 up in the series and with the Ashes safely in Australian hands, openers Geoff Marsh and Mark Taylor show no mercy in the fifth Test at Trent Bridge, putting on 329 for the first wicket - the highest opening stand in Ashes history.

Marsh and Taylor also became the first pair to bat through a full day's play in a Test in England. Marsh was eventually dismissed for 138 and Taylor for 219 as Australia declared on 602 for 6. They went on to win by an innings and 180 runs.
