Oxfordshire won their final match of the Minor Counties Championship season against Dorset by 16 runs.

In a narrow finish at Bournemouth, Dorset were chasing down a victory target of 182 but veteran Keith Arnold took the winning catch on the boundary.

Many of the county's 2008 Championship matches were affected by the weather.

Oxfordshire secretary Peter O'Neill told BBC Oxford: "It is a little sad that the season has come to an end just as the sun started to shine on us."
