Duddon SC continued their miserable run of form with a heavy 108-run defeat by Cockermouth in the North Lancs and Cumbria Premier Division on Saturday. Cockermouth declared on 204-2, after Greg Platten put on 107 not out to hand Duddon a massive target. All-rounder Gareth White then added excellent bowling figures of 4-18 to his 69 with the bat as Duddon were dumped for 96 all out. The result leaves Duddon fixed to the bottom of the table after 15 matches. Cleator managed a winning draw with Haverigg, posting 191-8 before declaring, and then restricting their opponents to 83-7 at the close of play. Haverigg's Sridharan Srinam was the pick of the bowlers in that game, taking 4-64.
