After losing the toss, Jersey were put into bat but captain Matt Hague and former professional Ryan Driver hit an impressive 141-run third wicket stand. Driver's 92 not out off 85 balls and Hague's 57 left Jersey on 204 for 4 after their rain-shortened 32 overs. In reply the Bahamas were all out for 78 in 26 overs with Andrew Dewhurst returning with figures of 6 for 20. "We're doing really well. "To be honest when I got to 50 I thought I was on about 20 or 30. It was nice to get some runs under my belt today," Driver said. "Someone's performed in every game, either one or two players, which is why we are on this winning streak and we want it to continue," he added. Dewhurst hopes his team can build on their impressive victory. "We're all very good players and we can all contribute in some way. It's looking very positive, we've put in a lot of hard work, and hopefully we can progress to the next stage," he said. Dewhurst came in for Peter Gough and has given coach Peter Kirsten some selection problems. Dewhurst celebrates his six-wicket haul (CricketEurope/ICC) |
