Madeley have kept up the pressure on the Shropshire League's early leaders Reman's after defeating Bomere Heath. Madeley crushed their opponents by 110 runs, as Steve Jones top-scored with 87 in their 239-7, with Bomere then skittled for 129. Reman's won again, by seven wickets against Ludlow. Shane Gwilt took 5-28 as Ludlow struggled to 91. Reman's then made 95-3. Cameron Rope hit 60 and then took 6-37 as Wem (215-6) beat Shelton (132). Craig Jones fired an unbeaten 63 in Quatt's 200-4 in reply to a spirited 196-8 from Welshpool (Chris Owen 79). Broseley cruised to victory over league newcomers Much Wenlock. Shivraj Singh Kehwar took 4-44 as Wenlock made 174-8, and the same player was unbeaten on 83 as they reached 175 without losing either of their openers. Albrighton's Matt Wright took 6-25 as Newtown slipped to 109 all out, and in reply Steve Cowie made 49 as Albrighton easily reached their victory target on 110-2.
