Reman Services are setting the early pace in the Marston's Shropshire Premier League after a winning draw against Quatt. Phil Caudle hit 66 in Reman's 177-7, before Quatt were then restricted to 149-6. Wem showed their intentions by crushing Broseley, Kiwi Cameron Rope hitting 36 in their 182-9 before taking 4-11 as Broseley mustered just 31. Ali Raza hit 61 and took 5-12 as Ludlow made 133 to beat Albrighton (70). League newcomers Much Wenlock were heavily beaten at Welshpool. They were bowled out for 72 (Rupert Shingler 5-16), before the home side coasted to 73-2. Newtown had a winning draw in a low-scoring game with Madeley. Steven Davies scored 41 as Newtown reached 115-8, and Paul Kruger then took 5-26 as Madeley replied with 88-9.
