Silva's century was a bright spot for Sri Lanka in Visakhapatnam |
Sri Lanka captain Mahela Jayawardene says his team will go to next month's World Cup in good heart despite losing the one-day series in India 2-1. "I thought there were some good things to come out of the tour, the middle order batted really well throughout.
"That was one of our main concerns coming into the tour," he explained.
"We can learn a lot from this. It is a tough place to come to but we played good cricket. Now we have to get our game adjusted for the World Cup."
The tourists were crushed by seven wickets in the final match in Visakhapatnam after managing only 259-7.
Only Chamara Silva, with a maiden ODI century, profited in good batting conditions.

Their bowlers then sprayed the ball around wildly early on as India built up momentum to cruise home with six overs to spare.
Jawayardene added: "We made a lot of mistakes in this game. A couple of loose shots from the top order gave away the early advantage.
"We survived the initial period but then when we wanted to get away we lost a few wickets. To get 280 or 290 we had to take a few chances but they didn't pay off.
"Then with the ball we didn't start well, giving away a few extras and fours and it's always tough to come back on a wicket like this.
"The only bright spot was the way Chamara fought really well to get a brilliant hundred but full credit to India, they totally outplayed us."
