One-day international, Johannesburg: South Africa v India
Match abandoned, rain The five-match ODI series got off to a damp start in Johannesburg |
The first of five one-dayers between South Africa and India in Johannesburg was washed out without a ball bowled.
Heavy rain throughout the day kept the players off and even the prospect of a shortened match starting late in the evening was dashed by more showers.
India had planned to play Virender Sehwag despite his finger injury, while South Africa were set to field the team which lost the Champions Trophy semi.
The teams will now move on to Durban for a day-nighter on Wednesday.
