South Africa want to get back to winning ways before the World Cup |
South Africa have kept faith with the squad which reached the Champions Trophy semi-finals for the first match of a home series against India. They will play five one-dayers, with a Twenty20 international in between the third and fourth games.
Test batsman Ashwell Prince, meanwhile, will skipper a Rest of South Africa XI against India at Benoni on 16 November.
"These games will give us a lot of information from which we can shape the squad," said selector Haroon Lorgat.
"We haven't been satisfied with the way the current squad has performed over the past year," he added.
Although the Proteas reached the last four of the Champions Trophy, they were then brushed aside by West Indies, who reached a target of 259 with six over to spare thanks to an unbeaten century by Chris Gayle.
New faces in the Rest of South Africa line-up include all-rounder Vernon Philander and batsman Arno Jacobs.
