Cricket Australia chief James Sutherland expects tickets to sell out fast |
England fans will have to pay between 10 and 57 for seats at next winter's Ashes Tests in Australia. Tickets go on sale next month and the cheapest are for the opening game in Brisbane, which range from Aus$25 (10) to Aus$65 (26).
The most expensive are for the fourth Test in Melbourne, where prices range from Aus$27 (11) to Aus$140 (57).
Tickets are available to Australia's supporters club from 1 June, and go on general sale from 19 June.
Tickets for the Brisbane, Perth and Melbourne Tests will be available from the Ticketmaster agency.
The VenueTix agency is handling ticket sales for Adelaide, while Sydney tickets will be available through the Ticketek agency.
"There's no doubt this is going to be a huge summer, undoubtedly the biggest summer that Australian cricket has ever seen," said Cricket Australia chief executive James Sutherland.
"The digital age that we're in will mean that global interest in this series will be unprecedented.
"I'd be very, very surprised if we didn't sell out all (first days) bar Melbourne. I don't have the same level of confidence with Melbourne, just because it is a 95,000 capacity."
But Victoria Cricket Association chief Ken Jacobs said he expected at least 250,000 people to attend the game at the MCG over five days.
"Our record goes back to the 1930s, where there were about 350,000 people and a repeat is not out of the question.
"We've had unprecedented interest about the match and the one-day internationals," he added.
Cricket Australia have dismissed fears that England fans would not be able to get tickets to see their team defend the Ashes.
"It would appear we'll have an awful lot of visitors from the UK and they'll be able to find seats," director of communications Peter Young told the BBC's Test Match Special in March.
"It would appear between 6.5% and about 12.5% of capacity at the different venues is being assigned for English cricket fans."
