 Jayasuriya has recovered from his shoulder injury |
Sri Lanka's veteran opener Sanath Jayasuriya has been recalled to his side's squad for the VB Series after proving his fitness. The 36-year-old was left out of the original 16-man squad for the triangular one-day series in Australia because of a shoulder injury.
Sri Lanka have also called up seamer Akalanka Ganegame to their squad.
He replaces all-rounder Farveez Maharoof, who is returning home because of a groin injury.
Sri Lanka have won one of their two matches in the series so far, and face Australia in Sydney on 22 January.
