Sri Lanka set sights on victory
First Test, Colombo, day two (stumps)
Bangladesh 188 & 36-3; Sri Lanka 370-9d

TM Dilshan
Dilshan took a total of 124 balls to score his runs on Tuesday

Bangladesh ended the second day of the first Test in Colombo in trouble, still trailing by 146 runs with only seven second innings wickets remaining.

Captain Habibul Bashar was 13 not out after Sri Lanka's Muttiah Muralitharan had taken two wickets in two balls to leave the tourists on 36-3.

He bowled Shahriar Nafees with his doosra and then trapped Mohammad Ashraful lbw for a golden duck

Earlier, Sri Lanka had declared their first innings on 370-9.

Tillakaratne Dilshan hit 86 in that innings while left-arm spinner Mohammad Rafique took 5-114 after bowling 37 overs.

And along with Dilshan's knock, there were also weighty Sri Lankan batting contributions from Thilan Samaraweera (78) and Mahela Jayawardene (63).

Sri Lanka will now target a win inside three days, assuming the weather holds up.

Play will start early, at 0500 BST, on Wednesday to make up for lost time following a heavy rain shower late in the day.
