Williams out of Test series
Brad Williams during net practice
Williams broke down in Zimbabwe
Fast bowler Brad Williams misses Australia's Test series against Sri Lanka with a lower back injury.

Williams, whose problem began during the Zimbabwe tour, has not recovered enough to resume full training.

The Western Australian said: "I'll continue to work on my rehabilitation and I'm sure I'll be ready in time for the ICC Champions Trophy."

Cricket Australia has not yet named a replacement for Williams in a squad temporarily reduced to 12.

The injury to Williams will give 21-year-old South Australian Shaun Tait a tremendous opportunity to make a Test debut.

Shane Warne may join Williams on the sidelines after breaking a hand while playing for Hampshire.
