Canada's lower order fought back against USA to set up a thrilling final day in their ICC Intercontinental Cup clash in Florida.

USA opening bowlers Howard Johnson and Tony Reid shared five wickets to leave the visitors in trouble at 50-5.

But Sunil Dhaniram made an unbeaten 64, putting on almost 50 for the last two wickets, to stretch Canadas second innings to 144 on a wearing pitch.

Needing 228 for victory, the hosts were 87-2 going into Sunday's final day.

Star all-rounder John Davison had wrapped up the American first innings early on day two, taking the last two wickets to finish with a 8-61.

The Intercontinental Cup involves 12 teams, divided into four groups of three, playing a series of three-day matches with the winners progressing to the semi-finals in the United Arab Emirates in November.
