Pakistan's Misbah-ul-Haq produced a hard-hitting century on the opening day of the PCB Patron XI's four-day match against touring side Zimbabwe. Haq hit 12 fours and seven towering sixes to score 130 and lead his team to a mammoth 353-5 in the 83 overs before bad light ended Zimbabwe's miseries.
Haq could now regain his place in the national squad for a one-day tournament against Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka.
On Thursday, Zimbabwe found wickets hard to come by throughout the day.
The batsman took full advantage of Zimbabwe captain Tatenda Taibu's decision to field first after winning the toss.
Haq was assisted by Bazid Khan, son of former Pakistan captain Majid Khan (94) and Naumanullah Khan (56).
Zimbabwe play Pakistan in the first match of the tri-series at Multan on 30 September.
