Ganguly leads a highly talented squad of players |
Indian captain Sourav Ganguly has revenge in mind ahead of home series against New Zealand and Australia. They will play two Tests against the Kiwis, before all three sides take part in a one-day series.
"We've been working hard at our training camp here and are confident of doing well," Ganguly said in Bangalore.
India endured a miserable tour to New Zealand at the start of the year, losing both Tests on seamer-friendly wickets and going down 5-2 in the one-dayers.
"We're determined to make amends this time," said Ganguly.
"Let's see how quickly New Zealand adjust to the conditions here. We're only thinking about them at the moment because we're playing them first. We'll think about Australia later."
After the New Zealand tour, India travelled to the World Cup in South Africa where an excellent team effort was spoiled when they were thrashed in the final by Australia.
"The World Cup was a big challenge for us and we did outstandingly well before losing in the final.
"Against Australia, it's as much about mind games as about skill. They're a very good side and playing very well.
