And in making 80, Clark became the top scorer in women's limited-overs international cricket, surpassing New Zealander Debbie Hockley's record of 4,064. Karen Rolton gave the strongest support with 34 but there looked to be some hope for the home side when Clark fell with the score on 176. The last five Australian wickets fell for just 38 runs, leaving New Zealand a target of 215 for victory. However, fast bowler Cathryn Fitzpatrick got stuck into the top order and the Kiwis were soon 27 for 3. Julie Hayes swept through the middle order with 3 for 31 and only Aimee Mason put up any resistance, making 31 before New Zealand crumbled to 105 all out. |
