Youhana takes control for Pakistan
Tatenda Taibu & Younis Khan
Khan hits a boundary during his half-century
Second Test, Bulawayo, day two (close): Zimbabwe 178; Pakistan 295-5

Yousuf Youhana hit a century as Pakistan took charge of the second Test against Zimbabwe at the Queens Sports Club.

The middle-order batsman cracked 15 boundaries in his undefeated 116 and put on 127 for the fourth wicket with Younis Khan, who scored 52.

Pakistan ended the day on 295-5, a healthy first innings lead of 117.

Youhana and Khan came together after Henry Olonga had taken two quick wickets as Zimbabwe staged something of a fightback in the morning session.

Beginning the day on 29 without loss, Pakistan initially prospered, as openers Saleem Elahi and Taufeeq Umar took the score onto 63.

But Olonga bowled Elahi and had Taufeeq caught behind in successive overs.

Inzamam-ul-Haq reached just 11 before slow left-arm bowler Ray Price bowled him.

But Pakistan rallied well in the second session as Youhana and Khan reached tea with unbeaten half-centuries.

Khan was trapped lbw by Andy Blignaut soon after the break, but Kamran Akmal saw Youhana through to his 10th Test ton.
