Chandrashekar Atram struck 10 from the last two balls of the innings as India snatched victory from England's grasp. The number 11's heroics, launching a six and a four, saw the visitors past their readjusted target, after rain, of 259. England's total of 269 was based around a marvellous 103 from Lancashire's Kyle Hogg, who also claimed three for 51 as India collapsed from 175 for two 237 for nine. However, Atram, in partnership with Abhishek Sharma, eased India's fears with an unbroken last-wicket partnership of 25 to spark scenes of joy on the outfield.
