Hollioake's daughter born
Surrey and Sussex share a minute's silence at The Oval
Surrey have dedicated this season to Ben's memory
Surrey captain Adam Hollioake is celebrating the safe arrival of a baby daughter named in memory of his brother Ben, who was killed in a car crash two months ago.

Bennaya Hollioake weighed in at 7lbs 10ozs when she was born at a hospital in Perth, Australia on Saturday.

The second half of her name is derived from Janaya, Ben's girlfriend, who was seriously injured in the accident.

The baby and Adam's wife, Sherryn, are said to be doing well and the family is expected to fly to Britain in about a week.

A brief statement on the club's official website said: "Everyone at Surrey County Cricket would like to wish Adam, Sherryn and their new daughter Bennaya all the very best."

Hollioake has not played for Surrey this season following the accident in which Ben died at the age of 24.

Both brothers were spending time with their parents and sister in Perth following Ben's involvement with the England team in one-day series in India and New Zealand.

He died instantly when his Porsche came off the road in the early hours of the morning.

His death was announced during the second Test against New Zealand in Wellington, prompting an outpouring of grief throughout the cricket world.

Ben played two Tests for England - against Australia in 1997 and Sri Lanka in 1998 and also appeared in 20 one-day internationals, scoring 309 runs and taking eight wickets.

At a memorial service in Perth, Adam described his brother as "a beautiful work of art, a classic sculpture."
