Archer Lucy O'Sullivan recovering well after illness

O'Sullivan is already a Great Britain international at the age of 20

Jersey archer Lucy O'Sullivan has said she is hopeful of being fit enough to compete at the Commonwealth Games.

The 20-year-old was taken to hospital with a kidney infection earlier in the week and was forced to travel to Delhi later than the rest of Team Jersey.

O'Sullivan told BBC Jersey: "I've been feeling better since I've been here, although I'm still a bit jet-lagged.

"I seem to be OK out here, though a little bit weak, but I'm getting stronger and stronger."

O'Sullivan was given the all clear to travel to Delhi by doctors on Tuesday.

Jersey will be represented in eight different sports at the games, with just over 30 competitors in the team.
