Wales delighted with sevens show
Wales' Rhys Williams is caught by Fiji's Jone Daunivucu
Wales lost 26-7 to Fiji in the quarter-finals
Rhys Williams said Wales exceeded all expectations by finishing fifth in the rubgy sevens in Melbourne.

A James Hook try in the dying seconds secured a stunning 29-28 victory over South Africa to win the Plate final.

Wales had been knocked out of the main event by Fiji in the quarter-finals, who won bronze by beating Australia.

"We weren't even ranked in the top eight of the competition so to come fifth is a massive achievement for the whole saquad," said Williams.

"We wanted to reach the quarter-finals and were knocked out by a very good Fiji side so we must be very happy with how things have gone."
