England teams make winning start | | England's men's basketball team opened their Commonwealth Games campaign with a battling Pool A win over Barbados. Leading 35-29 at the break, coach Peter Scantlebury's side slipped back to trail by 53-47 in the second half before clinching a 75-59 victory. Forward Fab Flournoy was forced to leave the court after receiving a blow to face but should be fit for England's next match with New Zealand. England's women beat Mozambique 84-46 in their opening Pool C clash.
