Woods lost on points to Antonio Tarver in April 2008

Sheffield boxer Clinton Woods' showdown with Tavoris Cloud for the vacant IBF light-heavyweight title is expected to take place on 28 August in Florida.

There has been no official confirmation of the venue because under IBF rules the purse winners do not have to notify the other parties for 10 days.

However, it is believed the setting will be the Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood, Florida.

Woods, 37, is hoping to win back the crown he lost in Florida in April 2008.

"They (Cloud's promoters) haven't got to provide us with the venue and the date for another 10 days," Woods' promoter Dennis Hobson told BBC Radio Sheffield.

"It's not a great rule, but he has been in training so I'm not too concerned about that.

"They might just be playing a bit of gamesmanship and taking it to the 10 days, which if they are it's a bit of cheap shot.

"But on Boxrec, which is mainly an American site, it's scheduled for 28 August at the Hard Rock Casino in Florida."
