Price won a bronze medal at the Beijing Olympics |
Liverpool heavyweight David Price is to help David Haye to prepare for his proposed world title fight with Wladimir Klitshcko. Price, 25, has signed a three-year professional contract with Haye's promotions company and will be trained in Cyprus by coach Adam Booth. Booth told BBC Radio Merseyside: "Price has already sparred with David. "He is 6ft 8in and has got a great jab, so what's better to get David's head moving than that?"
Booth went on to reveal talks are at an advanced stage to hold the fight between Klitshcko and Haye at Chelsea's Stamford Bridge stadium."They want to come to England and we've been in very deep negotiations with Chelsea and Stamford Bridge for 42,000 seats," said Booth. "You would have a South Londoner fighting for the heavyweight title in South London." Booth added he is predicting a bright future for Olympic bronze medallist David Price in the professional ranks. "He has immaculate co-ordination and timing," said Booth. "He has all the physical attributes and if he has the desire and the will then who knows how far he can go?"
