Danny McIntosh is still undefeated in nine professional fights

Danny McIntosh made a successful first defence of the English light-heavyweight title in Nottingham.

Home town challenger Rod Anderton was on the canvas after just one minute and 17 seconds of the first round.

McIntosh, from Norwich, hit the home-favourite with a fierce right hand which the referee deemed too damaging to allow Anderton to continue.

The 28-year old remains undefeated, four of his nine wins having come by way of a knockout.
