Sexton has recently broken into the world's top 100 heavyweights

Norwich heavyweight Sam Sexton has defended the Norfolk Showground as a boxing venue after recent criticism.

The Showground hosted Jon Thaxton's European title win on Saturday, but facilities were openly criticised by some of the television commentary team.

Sexton attended to support Thaxton, but was disappointed by the comments.

"I've boxed all over the country, even abroad, I think the showground's a fantastic venue, it's spacious and compared to York Hall it's a palace."
