Abraham is undefeated over 24 professional fights |
German Arthur Abraham has announced he will defend his world IBF middleweight title against Britain's Wayne Elcock on 8 December in Basle, Switzerland. Abraham successfully defended his title for the sixth successive fight against compatriot Khoren Gevor in August.
Elcock enhanced his reputation thanks to a unanimous points win over Howard Eastman last month to claim the British middleweight title.
"It will be a hard fight against a strong opponent," said Abraham.
Birmingham-based Elcock earned his 18th professional victory when he beat the 'Battersea Bomber' after 12 rounds in Coventry.
"Elcock last defeated a strong Howard Eastman so there is absolutely no reason to underestimate him," said the Armenian-born Abraham, nicknamed 'King Arthur'.
"I have been working hard in practice and I promise not to disappoint the Swiss boxing fans."
