 Sprott beat Audley Harrison to set up a rematch with Skelton |
Michael Sprott has withdrawn from his Commonwealth heavyweight title fight against Matt Skelton with a leg injury. Their rematch was scheduled to top the bill at ExCel London on Saturday, and promoter Frank Warren has been forced to postpone the entire show.
Warren said: "It's a big disappointment to the fans and everyone involved, but an acceptable replacement could not found at this late stage.
"When Michael is fully fit a new date will be announced."

Reading's Sprott injured a muscle in his left leg during a training session late last week and had hoped to recover in time.
He said: "I'm absolutely gutted. Following my win over Audley Harrison I was looking to build on it and hopefully get a world title fight, but that is on hold now.
"I really wanted to fight on but the pain was too severe to continue training and I would not have been fully fit in time to take Skelton on.
"The decision was made by my team and I respect that. I now aim to fully recover from this injury and resume training and await a new date."
Sprott has been told he can resume training in a couple of weeks.
Ticket holders have been promised a full refund.
Bedford's Skelton stopped Sprott in their first encounter in April 2004 to win the British and Commonwealth belts.
