Carl Froch wants to face Russian Denis Inkin in a final eliminator for a WBC or WBO super middleweight title shot. The British and Commonwealth champion confirmed his class with a second-round stoppage of Inkin's tough compatriot Sergey Tatevosyan on Friday.
Inkin beat the Nottingham fighter on points as an amateur, but Froch said: "In the last round, I put you down heavily and only the bell saved you.
"I want the opportunity to do the job properly this time."
Froch, who became the first man to stop Tatevosyan, is set to move up to second in the WBO rankings, just behind Inkin. Welshman Joe Calzaghe holds the title.
However, he should now top the WBC rankings after number one contender Librado Andrade was seen off by Danish champion Mikkel Kessler at the weekend.

Lucian Bute, who was ranked above Froch by both organising bodies, has opted to contest a final eliminator for the IBF belt, held by Alejandro Berrio.
"I get the feeling Inkin is hoping to sit and wait for a nice, easy, straight shot at the WBO title," said Froch, 29. "But I am right on his case.
"We are going to be numbers one and two for both the WBC and WBO titles, and to find the mandatory (challenger) there needs to be a final eliminator.
"Don't look for the easy option and play the ratings game. We are the highest rated contenders, so let's do things the proper way."
Froch's win over Tatevosyan improved his record to 21-0 with 17 knockouts. Hamburg-based Inkin, 29, is 29-0 with 23 KOs.
