 Erdei celebrates his victory over Santiago |
Zsolt Erdei stopped Danny Santiago in the eighth round in the seventh defence of his WBO light heavyweight title. The Hungarian (26-0) put Santiago on his back with a right hand two minutes into the round. Another big right moments saw the referee stop the bout.
The American (29-3-1) was ranked 14th and viewed an easy opponent for Erdei, who has had the title for three years.
"I would like to fight a big name in the US next, or a unification fight," said the 32-year-old.
