Brian Magee is happy fighting at light-heavyweight |
Belfast's Brian Magee won his British light heavyweight final eliminator with a comfortable 12-round points victory over Londoner Andrew Lowe in Dagenham. Magee will meet the winner of champion Peter Oboh's next defence against Portsmouth's former Commonwealth holder Tony Oakey.
The former IBO super middleweight champion made his debut in the division when he beat Paul David in November.
He moved up in weight after losing to Carl Froch last June.
The Belfast boxer says the extra seven pounds of weight has given him "a new lease of life".
