Scotsman Barry Morrison seized the British light welterweight title with a
controversial split-decision victory over home-town favourite Lenny Daws. Defending the title for the first time at London's Alexandra Palace, Daws struggled to get to grips with the Motherwell man in the early rounds.
And despite a dominant performance in the later rounds, two judges scored the bout in favour of Morrison.
"It is unbelievable, especially to do it in his own backyard," said Morrison.
