The British light welterweight title fight between holder Lenny Daws and Barry Morrison has been called off. The pair were due to meet at the York Hall, Bethnal Green, on Friday, but Morrison withdrew on health grounds.
Promoter Mick Hennessy was unable to secure a replacement bill-topper that satisfied the British Boxing Board of Control, and so has scrapped the show.
Hennessy said: "It's the first show we have ever had to pull and we have hated doing it. It's gut-wrenching."
