Kessler maintains unbeaten record
Denmark's Mikkel Kessler
Kessler has now had 29 knockouts in his career
WBA super middleweight champion Mikkel Kessler scored a knockout victory over WBC counterpart Markus Beyer to unify both titles in Copenhagen.

Denmark's Kessler flattened his veteran German opponent with a straight right to the chin with two seconds to go in the third round.

It was the 27-year-old's 38th win in as many fights.

Kessler will be now be hoping for a unification fight against WBO and IBF champion Joe Calzaghe.

"I'll be ready for you, Calzaghe," Kessler said looking and pointing his finger into a television camera after the win.

The Dane won the WBA title in November 2004 by stopping Puerto Rican Manny Siaca in Copenhagen, six months after Siaca defeated former champion Anthony Mundine of Australia.
