Khan improved his pro record to 8-8-0 with six knockouts |
Amir Khan stopped Glaswegian Colin Bain in the second round to stretch his unbeaten record to eight bouts at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium. The 19-year-old opened up with a flurry of furious punches before a series of fierce bodyshots saw Bain sink to the canvas to catch his breath.
There was more of the same in the second and Bain was floored again by a vicious right-hook from Khan.
Referee Wynford Jones immediately stopped the fight to hand Khan the win.
Khan came straight out from the opening bell with his usual frenetic style of boxing and Bain was simply not given the time to bed into the fight.
The 27-year-old Scot tried to unsettle the Olympic silver medallist with some counter-punches but he was soon overwhelmed by Khan's blitzkrieg approach.

A good combination saw a nervy Bain squat down and he was given an eight count by Jones.
After surviving the first-round assault, the Scot slipped in the second round and was given another count, despite protesting to the referee.
Khan sensed his chance and promptly sent Bain back down again to end the fight and improve his record to eight fights, eight victories and six knockouts.
The Bolton boxer also became the first man to stop Bain in his 12-match career.

"I learn from every fight and I'm just getting better and used to being a professional," said Khan.
"I'm going to keep my feet on the ground and I'm going to take my time. When the chance comes we're going to go for the world title and win it."
Khan's promoter Frank Warren indicated the boxer's next fight would be on home turf in Bolton on 2 September.
A recent addition to Warren's fold, Dagenham super featherweight Kevin Mitchell, also stopped Imad Ben Khalifa in the second round to continue his promising form.
