Belfast's Brian Magee will take on Carl Froch at Bethnal Green |
Brian Magee's bout against Commonwealth and British super middleweight champion Carl Froch on 26 May has been moved from Belfast to London's Bethnal Green. Magee surrendered home advantage as a major bill featuring Scott Harrison, Eamonn Magee and Amir Khan is being staged in Belfast six days before that.
The Froch fight is the first of Magee's four-fight deal with Frank Maloney.
Promoter Maloney said Magee accepted it was not fair on Belfast boxing fans to have two bills so close together.
Magee said: "Froch may think he has won because the fight has been moved to London.
"But I will make him pay for pulling out of the original March date by knocking him out in the mid-rounds. First off all, I will take the sting out of the Cobra before I flatten him."
