Kevin Anderson retained his Commonwealth welterweight title when he stopped fellow Scot Craig Dickson in the seventh round in Kirkcaldy. The 22-year-old claimed his 16th victory when the referee stopped the fight with Dickson on the ropes. Glasgow's Dickson did test his Fife opponent after surviving an onslaught in the first two rounds. But Dickson was undone by a big right hand and Anderson could now fight British champion Young Muttley.
