Khan gave Williams, a trainer teacher, a boxing lesson |
Unbeaten Amir Khan battered his way to his sixth professional victory when he stopped Jackson Williams in three rounds at London's Excel Arena. The 2004 Olympic silver medallist dominated his light-welterweight opponent from the first bell.
Williams, 24, survived the opening two rounds before Khan, 19, caught him with a left uppercut in round three.
Williams was still reeling when Khan unleashed a salvo of body shots before the referee stepped in to save him.
A satisfied Khan said: "He gave me a test, took a lot of shots and was giving it back as well.
 | I think this was his best performance so far |
"I got in a lot of body shots - that is what we had been working on. "There's a lot more to come from me - I am only young and have a long way to go.
"But (promoter) Frank (Warren) will pick the right fights for me and, before you know it, I will be ready to go for the world titles."
Warren rated Khan's effort "an excellent performance".
He said: "We know Amir can punch and has great hand speed, but the things that particularly pleased me were that he showed good defence and good composure.
"I think this was his best performance so far. You couldn't fault him tonight.
"The opponent tried his best and kept his hands up - but Amir found his way through his guard."
