Doherty is undefeated in 17 fights
It has been confirmed that Welsh welterweight prospect Tony Doherty fractured his hand in last month's win over Ernie Smith.

The injury rules the 22-year-old out of a planned 11 March Celtic title clash with Taz Jones in Newport.

Another match-up is now being sought to act as chief support for Gary Lockett's fight with Ryan Rhodes for the vacant WBU middleweight title.

Welsh boxers Gavin Rees, Barrie Jones and Darren Morgan are on the undercard.
