Londonderry middleweight John Duddy maintained his unbeaten record by stopping Dominican southpaw Wilmer Mejia in three rounds in Florida. The 26-year-old extended his pro record to 14 straight wins with a comfortable win at the Hard Rock Live Arena.
Duddy forced Mejia, a late replacement for fellow countryman Emiliano Cayetano, to retire with a broken hand.
Promoter Eddie McLoughlin is now hoping to set up a deal to fight Mexico's former world champion Yori Boy Campas.
