Harrison remains undefeated in 17 fights |
Audley Harrison will face American Robert Davis in June after the withdrawal of original opponent Billy Zumbrun with an unspecified injury. The 33-year-old British heavyweight will meet Davis in California on 9 June in his first fight after a year out of the ring with a hand injury.
Davis, of Ohio, has 31 wins (19 stoppages) and six defeats.
The 37-year-old Zumbrun, who lost to former world champion Riddick Bowe last month, pulled out on Thursday.
Since turning pro in 2001, Harrison has fought only 17 times and the quality of his opposition has been criticised.
Davis' most recent loss was a first-round knockout by Joe Mesi in 2003 but he has won his last three outings against journeymen Paul Ray Phillips (twice) and Matt Green - all by second-round stoppages.
"I will send Harrison back to England where he belongs," the 33-year-old Davis told Boxing Central.
