Welterweight king Zab Judah has challenged WBC light welterweight champion Arturo Gatti. Judah's offer comes after the collapse of Gatti's proposed fight with Floyd Mayweather on 11 June.
Judah said: "Gatti is one of the most exciting fighters and I'm available any time, any place and at any weight."
However, Britain's Junior Witter is also keen to step in and will learn this month whether he is to be made the WBC's number two.
The British champion could leapfrog Italy's Gianluca Branco, who pulled out of a prospective title eliminator against Witter last month.
And Witter's promoter Mick Hennessy has confirmed he is trying to lure Gatti to England with an audacious 1.5m offer to stage the fight in Nottingham.
