Toney outclasses Guinn in Reno
James Toney
Toney has won 69 of 76 pro fights
James Toney reemerged as a heavyweight contender with a unanimous decision over Dominick Guinn in Reno.

Fighting for the first time since being stripped of his WBA title for testing positive for steroids, Toney dominated Guinn from start to finish.

Two judges scored the fight 119-109, while a third had it 117-111.

Former three-weight world champion Toney could now challenge Chris Byrd, who retained his IBF title against DaVarryl Williamson on the undercard.

Toney, 37, said: "I"m ready for anybody. I'm a little rusty but now I'm healthy.

"I give myself a B-minus. My weight was a little high and my right hand was a little sloppy.

"I'll fight (Vitali) Klitschko, (Lamon) Brewster, or Byrd. Klitschko preferably, because the money's better."

Toney won the WBA title from John Ruiz in April, only to lose it a few days later because of a failed drugs test.
