Witter says Hatton fight unlikely
Junior Witter
Witter has 29 wins, one loss and two draws from 32 fights
Junior Witter admits he has all but given up hope of getting domestic rival Ricky Hatton into the ring.

Bradford's European light welterweight champion said: "Deep down I know the chances are that he won't fight me.

"I have thrown my hat into the ring enough times, but Ricky keeps booting it back out again."

Hatton is eyeing a bout with either Kostya Tszyu or Sharmba Mitchell, while Witter next takes on Poland's Krzystof Bienias at Wembley on 12 November.

"Whilst there is a glimmer I wont give up, I need to do my own thing and continue moving past him," said Witter.

Witter last fought in June, when he knocked out Italy's Salvatore Battaglia in two rounds.

Witter added: "Bienias is going to come out all guns blazing, but that will just make me look all the better - I love counter-punching.

"He probably thinks he is a bit special because he took Oktay Urkal to a points decision in his own backyard and beat WBO number two Yuri Romanov.

"But he will know what special is when he is looking up at me."
