Newly-crowned British super middleweight king Carl Froch has called out former WBC champion Robin Reid. Froch beat Damon Hague in Nottingham last Friday to add a Lonsdale belt to his Commonwealth title and extend his unbeaten run to 14 fights.
"Come on Robin - here I am, ready to fight you. This is a fight everyone would like to see," said Froch.
"All you need to do is pick up the phone to my promoter Mick Hennessy and this fight can be made very quickly."
The 27-year-old Froch destroyed Hague inside a round at the Nottingham Arena and in doing so impressed Hague's trainer Brendan Ingle.
"Carl Froch tonight looked not $1m but $10m," said Ingle, formerly in Naseem Hamed's corner.
"He looked sensational and the shots he hit Damon with would have knocked down a full-grown bull.
"Forget about Ricky Hatton - this fella is the business."
