Mayorga released by police
Ricardo Mayorga
Former world welterweight champion Ricardo Mayorga has been released by police in Nicaragua after a rape charge and an extensive manhunt.

A judge ruled the arrest illegal and Mayorga's fight against Felix Trinidad on 2 October looks set to go ahead.

The alleged incident is said to have taken place early on Wednesday morning in a hotel room in Managua.

"I was set up and that's all I am going to say," said Mayorga, whose alleged victim was a 22-year-old woman.
