Morales and Barrera are both destined for the Hall of Fame |
Erik Morales and Marco Antonio Barrera have agreed a rubber match to take place in Las Vegas on 27 November. The bitter rivals, who are 1-1 after two brutal fights, will fight at super feather - Morales' current weight.
Morales is the WBC and IBF champion, while Barrera was stunned by Filipino Manny Pacquiao last November and is without a title at the present time.
Promoter Bob Arum said each fighter could make $3m or more if the pay-per-view met expectations.
"Everybody knows what kind of fight this is," said Arum.
"You say Morales-Barrera, they say, 'Wow!' It's exciting."
The first encounter in 2000, a super bantamweight unification bout, was a classic slugfest that ended with Morales (47-1, 34 KOs) winning a controversial split decision.
Barrera (58-4, 41 KOs) turned the tables in 2002, taking another contentious unanimous decision and the WBC featherweight title.
