Hide's movement was too much for his opponent |
Britain's Herbie Hide looked impressive on his way to a fifth-round stoppage of Alex Vassilev on Saturday. The Norwich-based fighter dominated the bout from start to finish, his movement and accurate punching giving his Russian opponent plenty of problems.
Hide complained after the fight that he had hurt his left shoulder in the opening round.
But the injury failed to stop from registering a comprehensive victory at the Alexandra Palace in London.
Hide has been touted as a possible opponent for current British heavyeight champion Danny Williams.
But Hide played down talk of a clash with Williams, saying: "Why worry about Danny? What has he done?"
Williams recently defended his British and Commonwealth belts by stopping Michael Sprott.
