Lewis 'to fight on'
World heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis
Lewis feels he is in the shape of his life
Lennox Lewis looks set to keep on boxing, scotching rumours of retirement.

The world heavyweight champion is reported by The Daily Express to have lined up at least three bouts for the next 18 months.

At almost 37 and after victory over Mike Tyson in June, it was thought that Lewis would retire at the top, having won a place among the greats of the sport.

But the Briton is said to feel that he is in the best shape of his career and wants to cash in while he is still capable of winning.

John Ruiz
Lewis is unlikely to fight John Ruiz
Proposed bouts include the Klitschko brothers, Vitali and Vladimir, as well as a rematch with Tyson and a mandatory defence of his IBF title against Chris Byrd.

A fight with John Ruiz has also been mooted but would seem unlikely.

A fight with Vladimir Klitschko could prove a big earner for both men, with the likelihood of a stadium venue in either London or Germany a realistic prospect.

Lewis is due to return to London in September, around the same time that purse bids for the Byrd fight close, when he is set to announce his plan to continue fighting.
